Langtang Gosainkunda Trek

Langtang Gosainkunda trek combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkunda. Visit the beautiful Langtang National park and then trek to the end of the valley to view the views of the beautiful mountains. Following the Trisuli River north out of Kathmandu, we travel through Trisuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village located at the very edge of the Langtang National Park. We then swing east into the Langtang valley, crossing the river several times as we travel up along a gorge-like, lower section of the valley. We pass through oak and rhododendron forests and even cross glacial moraine on our way to the Tamang village of Langtang.

A little further up the valley is Kyangin Gompa, where we stop overnight and sample the local yak cheese. We pass through Nubamatang, nestled in a hidden valley, on our way up to view the glaciers, which mark the gateway into Tibet. Backtracking, we travel through Syabru and Sing Gompa to a high plateau, where the sacred lake Gosainkund is located. Crossing the Llaurebena Pass (4610m), we continue south, leaving the Langtang region behind us as we travel through the Helambu valley to Gul Bhanjyang. We have excellent views of mountains that include Langtang, the Annapurnas, Manaslu, and even Everest on a clear day. This is a pleasant and exciting journey, a time to relax and become immersed in the beauty of the Himalayas.

Gosaikunda also spelled Gosainkundais an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in Nepal's Langtang National Park, Gosaikunda is famous for being the purest holy lake located at an elevation of 4,380 m (about 2.72 mi) in the Rasuwa District, covering a surface. It lies north of Kathmandu between Helambu, Langtang Valley, and Langtang National Park. The measurement shows that it is 43 (kilometers) far from Kathmandu city. The Gosaikunda trek is about 117 km (about 72.7 mi) with 35 km (about 21.75 mi) of the bumpy road from Trisuli to Dhunche. A standard 13-day itinerary, of the Himalayas including good lodge accommodation with healthy food. You'll be walking approx. 5-7 hours daily. Since you will be walking a lot, it can be difficult for someone who does not walk normally or is not involved in physical work.

For Travellers to Langtang Gosaikunda Trek, we can modify the days according to the option and concerns of the travelers. If you have unlimited or limited time, then the Langtang Valley Trek, the Langtang Ganjala Pass Trek, or the Langtang Helambu Circuit would be a suitable alternative for your vacation.
